Vet Consent
What is a Vet Consent Form?
In order for your dog to be treated with massage, it is essential to download a consent form, and for you to request your own vet to sign and date this prior to any massage treatments in order to comply with the Veterinary Act 1966, and the Veterinary Surgery (Exemptions) Order 1962. The 1966 Act of Law is in place to protect Animals and Practitioners.
Why do I need it?
It reduces potentially damaging medicating and/or surgical procedures carried out by the 'layman.' The Veterinary Surgery (Exemptions) Order 1962 however, permits manipulative therapies such as Physiotherapy, Massage, Osteopathy, Hydrotherapy and other complementary therapies, providing there is no involvement of medicating requiring veterinary prescribing.
